86DSGN (86 Design) is a small, hands-on team that designs, builds, looks after and markets websites from South Africa, for businesses around the world. Our first website client came in 2012, and we've worked as an agency since 2016.
We're small on purpose. You deal with the people doing the work, not an account manager.

Once your website is live, we can keep looking after it. Ongoing care is there if you want it, never compulsory.
On a care plan, we update, back up and check your site every month, so problems get caught before your customers or your search ranking notice.

What does 86DSGN do?
We design and build websites on WordPress, Shopify and Webflow, look after WordPress sites on monthly care plans, and run Google and LinkedIn Ads. We also handle integrations and custom plugins. One hands-on team, based in South Africa, since 2012.
How much does a website cost?
Starting prices, excl. VAT: a landing page from R8,500, a 3 to 5 page site from R12,500, a 5 to 10 page site from R18,000 and an online shop from R25,000. Bigger sites are quoted for your project. SEO and content writing are extra. See website pricing.
How does payment work for projects?
For project work, 50% is paid up front to commence work, and that deposit is non-refundable. The rest of the payment terms are set out in your quote.
How do I know if my website needs a rebuild?
Start with the free health check. If your site is sound, we'll say so. If it needs repairs, we'll list them. We only recommend a rebuild when the findings support it, and we'll explain why.
Do I need website maintenance if my site already works?
Yes. Working today doesn't mean protected tomorrow. Plugins go out of date, security holes get discovered, and backups you don't have don't help you when something breaks. Maintenance catches this before it becomes a crisis.
How much does maintenance cost?
Plans start from R900/month (excl. VAT) and are priced by site size, plugin count and support needed. Send your URL for a free health check and a quote.
Can you take over a site another agency built?
Yes. We run a free health check first, then fix what matters before putting the site on a plan.
Will I be locked into a contract?
No. There are no lock-in contracts. You get plain-English reports and published response times.
Do you work with international clients?
Yes. We're based in South Africa and work remotely with clients across Europe, the UK and beyond.
